Data is information in a digital form and needs to be treated like any other belonging you may have. 

Like your other belongings, some data is more valuable than others. Even then, if you were to put your data altogether it would be valuable. Similarly if your or some of your belongings were aggregated with other belongings, it would be valuable and some aggregations more valuable than others. Similarly to your other belongings, data can be valid, invalid (such as a copy, reject, fault), made public, destroyed, or degraded.
