Public wifi is insecure. It’s important to avoid transmitting sensitive information such as passwords or organisational information over it or to do sensitive transactions such as internet banking. Consider using your hotspot instead or waiting until you are connected to the internet in a much less insecure way. If you do for some reason urgently need to use internet and this is the only option – wash your hands, ie change all passwords and login information. Assume the information you have provided has been viewed and stolen and work backward from there. If you can remember – turn off the wifi function when not in use.
