Secure Erasing

You can securely delete files by following a process of deleting the file itself using secure erasing technology, then overwriting the file with zeros or dummy data, also often contained in that secure erasing technology, then deleting the reference to the file. This also applies to putting a file to trash. Apple, for example, offers you the option of securely erasing and overwriting these files. This is what the wiper malware does.
